According to Ayurveda, it is essential to understand how to eat properly. Combining foods carefully can dramatically improve the quality of digestion, nurture, and the positive impact our overall health.
In Ayurveda, every food has its own taste (rasa), a heating or cooling energy (virya), and a post-digestive effect (vipak). When more than one food item of different taste, energy, and post-digestive effect are combined together, the Agni(gastric fire) can become overloaded inhibiting the enzyme system and resulting in the production of toxins in the system. Here are some food combinations that must be avoided in our everyday life.
Conflicting Foods
Do not eat fish and meat at the same time.
Don’t mix curd and chicken to eat.
Never boil honey and or consume with hot food. Because boiling honey will change it to poisonous.
Don’t consume wheat with sesame oil.
Don’t eat jaggery , black gram, honey, ghee with curd.
Don’t combine honey, sesame, black gram with goat meat or beef.
Don’t mix different kinds of meat to eat.
Never allow blending uncooked meat in cooked meat. It has poisonous nature.
Never cook foods that have both ingredients as Mushroom and Mustard oil.
Honey, ghee, fat, oil, butter –Don’t mix 2 or 3 of the above items equally. It is poisonous.
Good eating Habits
Maintaining a proper time for eating.
Clean your hands, legs, and eyes before a meal.
Sit down properly and have food.
Avoid snack eating frequently.
Drink water at the right time.
Eat foods freshly when available.
Eat seasonal and locally available fruits.
Try and include all six tastes- sweet, salty, sour, pungent, bitter, and astringent.
Eat neither too slow nor too fast.
Avoid cold food and liquids especially in summer season.
Soak and sprout nuts and seeds to increase their nutrient content and digestibility.
Include spices that enhance digestion and reduce gas and bloating, such as cumin, coriander, and fennel.
A recent survey conducted by Indian Thyroid Society shows that one in ten adults in India suffers from hypothyroidism.
Women are three times more likely to be affected by hypothyroidism than men.Even hypothyroidism continues to grow significantly in the country,the disease awareness and diagnosis remains low.
Effects of Hypothyroidism
It can cause elevated cholesterol levels,increased blood pressure, the decrease in fertility,increase the rate of cardiovascular complications,depression,increased the risk for baby's health in a pregnant woman.
Symptoms
Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can have adverse effects on a person’s health. The symptoms and signs of the condition can vary from person to person depending on the severity of the condition.
Some of the common symptoms of hypothyroidism are:
Extreme tiredness
Feeling fragile all the time
Poor memory and confusion in thought process
Constipation
Skin dryness
Stiffness in joints and muscles
Bloating or fluid retention in the body
Depression
Menorrhagia (prolonged or excessive menstrual bleeding)
Some of the common symptoms of hyperthyroidism are:
Increased sweating
Heat Intolerance

It can lead to irregular heart rhythms and even heart failure in the elderly.
If untreated it may result in a condition called thyroid storm, where a person can suffer from high blood pressure, fever leading to a heart failure.
In Graves’ disease, there may be eye changes and skin changes in addition to the other symptoms.
Natural remedies to cure thyroid disorders
Take the tree bark of Mimusops elengi(Spanish cherry,medlar,bullet wood) and make it a paste with rice water (without any contact with iron) and apply to the outer region of affected part.
Make a paste of the Kaempferia galanga(Kacholam) leaf and apply it.
Take Achyranthes Aspera(Prickly chaff flower,Cherukataladi),Desmodium triflorum(Creeping Tick Trefoil,Nilamparanda),Black musli Yam(Curculigo orchioides, Nilappana kizhangu).Mix these three items equally and add it to milk.Then consume it.
Take some cow urine and allow it to drain and add a little turmeric to it.Make like a capsule and have it.
Most medicines with the ingredient as Guggulu(Commiphora Mukul) are also good.
A new government report shows that nearly half of Americans with high blood pressure are not properly controlling their condition, increasing their risk of stroke, heart attack, and heart disease.
The overall rate of high blood pressure in the United States has remained constant, hovering between 28 percent and 29 percent, the new report found.

Natural Remedies to reduce Blood Pressure
Make a curry of moringa leaves and garlic and have it.It is good for BP.
Drinking 60ml. of plantain stem juice(take the juice of small banana) thrice a day will reduce your BP.
When banana blossom is separated from its plantain,a liquid will come.Drinking that liquid will reduce your blood pressure.You can continue drinking for 7 to 11 days.
Roast the nutmeg then grind 3/4 of it,mix with honey and have it to reduce BP.
Along with this add original cinnamon, pepper, long pepper,dried ginger, fennel seeds, tamarind and gambooge in daily,then diseases won't attack you easily!

Avoid these things from your daily life
Avoid tans-fatcontained foods.
Avoid all types of fast foods, soft drinks, artificial taste-makers and those foods with high amount of preservatives and essence.
Avoid Iodized salt.
Avoid harmful medicines which has serious side effects(Don't take medicines without advice from a registered practitioner).
Avoid food items from outside or unknown sources if possible.Prepare food yourself if you can.Try to be organic.
Natural Remedies to cure Heart Block
Small lemon extract, garlic extract, moringa bark(drumstick) extract(the bark should be thick,if its roots bark then it's very good), ginger extract,take extracts(juice) of these separately in same quantity,then take honey and vinegar of toddy or vinegar of coconut water in same qty.If 50ml. take all six items in 50ml.Then mix together.Drink 25ml. twice a day before food.For the first two-three days mix same amount of water to the mix and drink it. After that drink the mix without adding water.Continue for 21 days or 41 days.
This medicine is good for heart block,varicose,piles,urinary stone,cholesterol,anemia,tuberculosis(MTB or TB), platelet dicrease,platelet increase and fat assimilation.Here vinegar acts as a medium to reach the medicine to blood immediately.Ginger and garlic helps in digestion.Ginger removes toxins in the body,lemon increases the level of calcium,moringa bark helps to cure anemia and honey increases immunity.
The leaf of Madagascar periwinkle(Catharanthus) will help to reduce cholesterol.Take 21 leaves of Madagaskar periwinkle grind it and have it in morning and evening.Remember to take a pinch of sugar when you eat the leaves because it will reduce the level of sugar in blood.
Drinking lemon juice will help to cure heart block because lemon dissolves fat that causes block.Drink lemon juice without adding sugar or salt, just add water and drink.
Salt is alkali,so it will also help in curing heart block,but make sure that salt is not Iodized.Consuming 1 gm salt each day for ten days will help to reduce block.
